Maggie Beer Farm Shop

Wonderful family entertainer. Maggie Beer's Farm shop is a real farm shop. There are few actual farms around the shop. Olive farm, pheasant farm, quince farm, and also farm of great food :). I love the lake in front of the shop and it is really picturesque. The new venue (The Farm Eatery) next to the farm shop offers a great range of food. Kids will be entertained with the pheasant and other wild bird farms. You can find gorgeous peacocks walking around the farm. He is the only bird not in the cage. I strongly recommend walking around the shop to see all the farms and birds around. Nice place to spend a peaceful few hours. The only thing I miss is that they used to offer lots of tasting experience in the farm shop, but it is no longer available since the pandemic. Hope they will bring it back sometime in the future.

 

Maggie Beer는 남호주의 유명한 스타 쉐프입니다. 마스터 쉐프 오스트렐리아에도 자주 출연하죠. 그녀가 오너로 있던 (지금은 비지니스를 팔았습니다.) 바로사 밸리에 있는 카페 겸 식당 겸 식재료샵이 Maggie Beer Farm Shop입니다. 그림같은 초록빛 작은 호수를 끼고 있는 샵은 그 아름다운 풍경이 꽤나 인상적인 곳이죠.

 

Farm Shop이라는 이름답게 여러 개의 다른 농장이 샵 주위로 둘러 있습니다. 모과 농장, 올리브 농장, 꿩 농장 등등. 아이들이 있는 집이라면 이것저것 구경시켜주기 좋은 곳입니다. 어른들을 위해서는 샵 내에서 팔고 있는 맥주와 와인도 있고, 치즈나 올리브 오일, 식초류 등등 다양한 바로사 밸리 지역 특산품을 구입할 수 있습니다. 샵 옆에는 The Farm Eatery라는 Fancy한 식당도 있습니다. 특정 요일에는 (금요일과 토요일) 우드 오븐 피자를 팔고 있지요.

 

호수를 끼고 한바퀴 둘러볼 수 있는 산책로가 있는데 산책로 주위로 위에 있는 농장들이 있으니 구경삼아 걸어볼 만 합니다. 산책로 끄트머리에는 꿩 농장이 있는데 꿩 뿐만 아니라 다양한 새들을 구경할 수 있어서 아이들이 좋아합니다. 꿩 농장 주변으로는 공작새가 걸어다니기도 하죠. 공작새는 이 농장의 새들 중 유일하게 새장에 갇혀있지 않고 샵 주변을 자유롭게 돌아 다닙니다. 주차장도 충분하고 애들레이드에서 멀지 않아서 바로사 밸리의 다른 볼거리와 함께 당일로 다녀오기 좋은 곳입니다.
