One of my most favourite boutique wineries in the Barossa Valley. I would define them as decent Shiraz maker. I fall in love with their wine since 2008 when I firstly visit their old cellar door. They now have sparkling new and modern cellar door, but I miss the old time. By the way, my pick from their range is 'The Struie' although 'The Factor' or 'Descendant' are really nice wine, but those are bit pricey in my opinion. The Struie is spot on for the balance between price and quality. However, for some reason The Struie has wide quality variation year to year. I recommend to have a tasting before buy 'The Struie'. If you want to try their finest wine, try 'The Factor' or 'Descendant'

 

토브렉은 제가 바로사 밸리에 있는 수 많은 와이너리 중에서 다섯손가락 안에 꼽는 부티크 와이너리입니다. 바로사 밸리에는 수많은 쉬라즈 와인 메이커들이 있지만, 토브렉은 그 중에서도 특별히 쉬라즈를 잘 만드는 메이커입니다.

 

2008년에 처음 이 와이너리를 방문했을 때는 작은 농가를 개조한 셀러도어에서 와인 시음을 했는데 지금은 삐까번쩍한 새 셀러도어를 지었죠. 이 곳의 와인 중에서 가장 가성비가 좋은 제품은 Struie입니다. 하지만, 이상하게도 Struie의 경우 빈티지에 따라 편차가 좀 심한 편이라 안정적으로 이 곳 최고의 제품을 맛보고 싶다면 The Factor나 Descendant도 좋습니다. 저렴하게는 Woodcutter Shiraz도 있고요.

 

훌륭한 품질의 와인과 멋진 셀러 도어 그리고 주변의 경광도 좋기 때문에 쉬라즈를 좋아 하신다면 바로사 밸리에서 놓치지 말고 꼭 들려봐야 하는 와이너리입니다.
